A Yokogawa commissioned survey, involving 534 respondents from 390 major manufacturing companies across seven global markets and seven different industry sectors, has revealed that the deployment of industrial autonomy is starting to accelerate with environment sustainability becoming an area of significant impact. The survey also reveals healthy levels of technology readiness for industrial autonomy deployment with Cloud leading the way, that C-suite executives are the key decision-makers, and the impact of industrial autonomy on the workforce is more on retraining than job elimination. Companies are looking for a partner with a strong vision in order to develop a roadmap and make a strong business case for industrial autonomy deployment.
