NISSIN FOODS is a leader in the food industry, known for launching the world's first instant noodles, Chicken Ramen, in 1958. NISSIN FOODS decided to implement a next-generation smart factory in order to establish a new cost-competitive supply system. Yokogawa participated from the basic concept phase as a partner in realizing the automation of one of the largest and state-of-the-art food factories in Japan and implemented a total of five solutions: Manufacturing Execution System, Warehouse Management System, Production Scheduler, Computerised Maintenance Management System and Plant information Management System. As the backbone systems that control the next-generation smart factory, Yokogawa's solutions are making a significant contribution to the enhancement of food safety. As a result of the implementation, NISSIN FOODS has improved product safety by strengthening quality control, reduced labor through systemization, increased productivity, and reduced costs.
